Grand Opening weekend at Kate's new pottery!

Yes, it's finally here – Kate’s all-new pottery studio is having it's official Grand Opening on December 5th, 6th and 7th!

It's been a long time in development since the fire in May that destroyed the old building – and it promises to be a truly inspiring space for creativity. An exciting new workplace, it's going to offer more space, more facilities, more light, more everything, including a bespoke area for wheelchair users.

Designed with both comfort and practicality in mind, the studio is having a brand-new kiln room built to fire all your projects (and try out new firing schedules!). Visitors will also appreciate the addition of modern toilet facilities and a dedicated parking area, making the studio more accessible than ever.

One of the most innovative features is the up-and-down work station, allowing potters to adjust their workspace to suit their needs, whether they prefer standing or sitting while shaping clay.

Classes are proving to be as popular as ever, and with the new studio comes new 8-week courses, offering even more scope for your amazing ceramic creations. More details on the new class structures here.

And now, with the Grand Opening ceremony upon us, Kate’s studio is set to become a hub of artistry, community and inspiration for pottery enthusiasts of all levels, and Kate looks forward to welcoming regulars and newcomers alike!

Come along to the grand opening – we'd love to see you there!

And now, hello!

Welcome to Kate Radford Pottery!

Looking for pottery classes? Then you've come to the right place!  Kate runs classes where you can learn how to throw a pot, sculpt in clay, use moulds or build by hand.

In a fun and friendly environment you can learn at your own pace over a cup of tea or coffee. You can relax, de-stress and learn an age-old skill.

With Kate’s guidance you will be able to create something unique that you can be really proud of. Having been a potter for nearly 30 years, Kate will awaken your inner potter in her fully equipped studio, including four potter’s wheels.

Adult classes are available on Tuesday mornings as well as Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings, afternoons and evenings, and Saturday morning – making it possible to fit in a class even in the most hectic schedule.

To learn more, click here – or click on the ‘Classes’ tab at the top of this page – all the information you could need is there!

Pottery Experiences are also available, which could be a fabulous gift for that special person.

Children love Kate’s Kids’ Birthday Parties – or come as a family group – or with friends – because Kate can offer adults of all ages a fun and different party option. How about a Hen Night with a difference? Then, later on, celebrate your ninth Wedding Anniversary as it is traditionally the Pottery Anniversary.

Call Kate to discuss the many options.

“I love passing on my enthusiasm for pottery as a craft to anyone who wants to learn a new skill or maybe brush up on an old one. Over the years, I have been joined by a loyal group of pottery enthusiasts who, I am proud to say, create some pretty amazing pieces.

I aim to make everyone’s visit fun and informative – and at the end of your time with me
you will have made something really personal to you.”
